Trey Flynn Announces Campaign for Senate District 31

Trey Flynn, conservative business owner and attorney, announced that he will be running for the state senate district 31 seat being vacated by Sen. Gerald Long.

“I look forward to running an aggressive campaign from Natchitoches to Alexandria and every town in between,” Flynn said. “What’s going on in Baton Rouge is ridiculous. State government is broken and politicians think raising taxes is the answer. It’s not. We need a fresh perspective to solve the problems facing Louisiana families and businesses.”

Flynn is a native of Alexandria and a graduate of Bolton High School. He received his undergraduate degree in Finance from LSU in Baton Rouge and earned his J.D. from Southern University Law School in Baton Rouge. While in law school, Flynn was in the top ten percent of his first year class and graduate Cum Laude. Prior to attending law school, Flynn started his own healthcare staffing company.

Flynn is Republican, pro-life, pro-gun, and a fiscal conservative.

“As a business owner, I’ve seen what taxes and regulations can do to an industry,” Flynn. “I want to unleash Louisiana job creators to do what they do best. My campaign will be focused on economic growth through tax reform, improving educational opportunities for our children, preserving our family values, and investing in crucial infrastructure here in district 31.”
